Sharel E. Gordon-Love

Sharel E. Gordon-Love is a licensed evangelist, author, publisher, motivational speaker, and brand ambassador who is a former Domestic Violence victim and a two-time cancer survivor. Sharel personally advocates for both through her writing and the platform of inspirational speaker to share her experiences and life journey.

Sharel will tell you that as a child, life was never ordinary for her. It was during these formative years that she found a great love for the written word and the vehicle it is to be able to help and encourage others.

Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Evangelist Love is the oldest daughter born to the late Ronald A. Gordon, and Coretha Cobb. She is the mother of three sons, Khayree, Alvin “AJ,” and Ronald, (Tamare), and grandmother to identical twin girls, Harper, and Olivia.

Sharel E. Gordon-Love, who has reviewed literary artists for A Place of Our Own Book Club (APOOO) 2005 to 2014, also hosted her own radio broadcast, “Inspired Moments with Sharel,” at World Harvest Radio located in Plainfield, New Jersey. She enjoyed using this platform to introduce new authors, singers, poets, artists, and activists, who, like her, address critical health concerns, and work to bring about social change.

More About Sharel

Writing for Sharel began at the age of six, winning immediate recognition for her essays and short stories. Her first nonfiction work, “Is There Hope for the Black Male?” was published by Black Child Magazine in 1994.

Sharel’s life experiences and formal education is what she pulled from as an author through which she has been part of an anthology, titled The Heart of Our Community in 2006. Additionally, Sharel has several published works beginning with the “Seasons of Life” Sharel has also released a 7-book eBook series titled, “Saved to Served.”

In July of 2015, Sharel became the publisher of After The Storm Publishing, LLC, a division of Peace in the Storm Publishing, LLC. ASP Kids, the children’s division of After The Storm Publishing launched July of 2017.

Becoming a brand ambassador for Elissa Gabriele Naturals in 2019, Sharel shares her experience with the product line and the growth of her natural hair that healed her scalp and generated growth in areas of hair loss and damage. She was able to regrow her hair with this product after contracting COVID-19 in March of 2020 when her hair fell out as well.

A dedicated Christian, and active church worker on her local church’s administrative staff, youth department, and women’s ministries, Sharel is also a licensed evangelist missionary in the Church of God in Christ, where she, along with family, attend New Reid Temple COGIC, in East Orange, New Jersey.
Sharel, resides in North Plainfield, New Jersey with her family.
