Carla Victoria Wallace graduated from the University of Connecticut where she majored in elementary education with a concentration in English. She then became an elementary school teacher by day, and author by night. She is the author of two fiction novels, 2016 African American Literary Award nominated novel The Ultimate Love and its stand alone sequel titled, Love Connection. She is also the author of three children’s books titled The Bug That Was Afraid of the Dark, The Bug That Went On The Field Trip, and Little Miracle. In 2018, her book, The Bug That Was Afraid Of The Dark, won “Best Children’s Book” at the “African American Literary Awards Show” in New York City. In addition to being a teacher and author, she enjoys her roles of being a wife and mother to her husband and three daughters.
