What would it be like to be in an interracial relationship? Against her initial reservations about dating outside of her race, Jada actually begins to consider giving Pete McKnight a chance. Then Pete’s mother, Mrs. McKnight begins to fear that Jada is getting too close to her son. Mrs. McKnight does not approve of Jada because of her race and has no shame in letting everyone know. With each encounter that Jada has with Mrs. McKnight, the tension increases and Jada’s insecurities resurface.
